The Christian Institute on Disability

Human life can now be copied and replicated, altered and aborted, cloned and euthanized, patented and redefined. It is, in fact, western culture's fundamental fear of disability and suffering which is fueling the maddening pace toward eugenics and the redefinition of what it means to be human. Christians are called to make a difference in this brave, new and dangerous world.

Joni and Friends is an advocate for the sanctity of human life. To that end, Joni and Friends has established The Christian Institute on Disability (CID). The CID is aggressively promoting life, human dignity and the value of all individuals -- despite their disabling condition--from a biblical perspective.

1. Pokemon Champion Cynthia: I feel like The Church as a whole, building , different sect or internet has abandoned us. I have Autism and I know how it feels. I try to find answers, however I can't understand or read scripture very well. But I do understand and believe in what Jesus did for me on the cross, shedding his blood for my sins in my place has sealed my salvation. I am saved by grace and I know it. The question is, has the Falling Away Church knows this? Narrow is the path and only a few find it. I trust and believe in Christ, God and the Holy Spirit alone if the world doesn't want to listen to mine, or many disabled and outcast cries. Keep up the work and shine the light we need in this now darkening world we live in.
2. Valerie Griner: I greatly admire Joni and Friends and all of their ministries. One thing that God has laid on my heart is the horrific practice of vaccination. My daughter and I are both (slightly) vaccine injured. The U.S. requires nearly TWICE as many childhood vaccines as any other "westernized" nation. It's no wonder that our child/infant mortality rate, chronic childhood disease rate, and skyrocketing rate of autism is occurring. It doesn't take much scientific/medical research...to uncover the TRUTH about the DANGERS of vaccines. I do pray that this EVIL against the world's children will soon be recognized and addressed by the church. The Bible exhorts us to "EXPOSE the deeds of darkness." It is admirable to minister to and to serve the disabled, but even MORE admirable to address the cause of childhood disability...especially in lesser developed countries...like Africa. Look at the rate of autism in the Amish (unvaccinated) community...nearly ZERO!
